Upon request by our client, we conduct psychological tests on the selected candidates applying tools, which provide the most accurate and need-specific information on worksite-induced behavioral skills and personality. In practice, we mainly use CPI (California Psychological Inventory) to measure the above factors. CPI focuses on grasping the basic dimension of normal personality, characterizing and forecasting the customary interpersonal skills of a mature and healthy adult. The diagnostic value of this protocol is assured by the reliability of the data derived from it and by the validity of the possible conclusion drawn. These facts qualify CPI as one of the most highly appreciated personality questionnaires. CPI attempts to detect the desirable, positive attributes of a given personality along with measuring discrepancies within the normal personality range. This makes the test broadly applicable in such areas as: research works in pedagogy, executive search, in various business and industrial fields and for consulting companies. The test consists of several statements in connection of which, the subject can express his/her opinion with a simple „yes” or „no” answer. The average running time for filling the test (on computer) is approximately 25-30 minutes. The answers given are assessed based on 18 different factors, each corresponding with a specific interpersonal trait. The data obtained this way are compiled by the program and the profile drawn from the processed factors helps describe the subject. These 18 factors serves the purpose of giving a comprehensive view of the subject’s interpersonal and behavioral pattern and of exploring his/her social adaptability, emotional, inspirational, intellectual and moral backgrounds. To make the analysis easier, the 18 factors are classified into 4 different groups. Along the axis of dominance/submissiveness, the first group examines the subject’s interpersonal efficacy, the degree of balance in personality, the social aptitude and the level of confidence. The second group scrutinizes the subject’s level of sociability, maturity, sense of responsibility and the value sets. The third class measures the intellectual efficiency and the performance-related motivational/inspirational level. Analyzing the direction of interest, the fourth group unveils information about the given subject’s social behavior. |
